1984.
Description
Looping propaganda reels, news bulletins INGSOC test cards, Miniture Documents Victory match boxes, stamps, newspapers, etc. For Audibles 1984 trailer I was both a prop designer and the sole motion designer. Which gave me the opportunity to work on a really broad range of visuals with a lot of creative licence. With Chris Sharp(CD) and Casey Leigh(Prod) organising things, the A/V artist Joshua Ellingson creating peppers ghosts on set, and the talented Josh Thorpe jumping on for the final 3D shot, we had a small but strongly creative team.

Description
I designed the INGSOC dictatorships brutalist visual identity, and populated a deck of CRT screens with propaganda. Animating key moments from the book. The slogans, 'news' reels, maps of the endless conflict , a copy of 'The Theory and Practice of Oligarchical Collectivism', the swimming man in the cross hairs, the clock striking 13 and of course the eye of big brother here hidden in test cards.

Description
For the props I started with the INGSOC stamp followed by the documents. drawing on the books 'Newspeak' I fabricated Minitrue memos, work orders and counterfactuals. I then distressed the papers and added handwritten notes to bring the documents to life. Below you can also find designs for the match box and newspaper as well as behind the scene photos from the shoot day.
